In my community of ~27,000 residents, we had about a thousand demonstrators. Thanks New Hampshirites!!!!

My favorite demonstrations is the one that took place on the Antarctic continent. There were hardy souls at McMurdo station very near the pole itself demonstrating. Fantastic!!! Some details can be found here and a quick search on Google will give you lots of hits.

The body count is currently listed at several sites as being 11 million worldwide, but it is still unclear as to how many demonstrators there really were.
